Svůj název odvozuje od jména městské části Brna, kdysi samostatného města Husovice, které bylo r. 1919 administrativně včleněno do tzv. Velkého Brna. / ... ist ein Kammervokalensemble, das sich vor allem auf die Musik des 16. und 17. Jahrhunderts konzentriert. Sein Name leitet sich von dem Namen eines Stadtteils von Brünn ab, der einst unabhängigen Stadt Hussowitz, die im Jahre 1919 in das sogenannte Groß-Brünn eingemeindet wurde. / ... is a vocal ensemble that focuses mainly on the music of the 16th and 17th centuries. Its name derives from a part of the city of Brno, the once independent town Husovice that in 1919 was incorporated into the so-called Greater Brno.
Historie spolku / Historie des Vereins / History of the Association
Počátky spolku, založeného snad již r. 1859 coby jednoho z pokračovatelů Brněnského mužského pěveckého spolku (Brünner Männergesangverein), jsou zahaleny mlhou historie 19. století, neboť smršť Světové války nedala dochovati se více dokumentům, než jen pouhým několika ohořelým fotografiím, které zde s hrdostí reprodukujeme. Jisto je pouze, že Husovický okrašlovací spolek pěvecký obnovil řady svého členstva do současné podoby pod vedením Patrika Matyáška v r. 2014. / Die Anfänge des Vereins, der vermutlich bereits im Jahr 1859 als einer der Nachfolger des Brünner Männergesangvereins gegründet wurde, liegen im Nebel der Geschichte des 19. Jahrhunderts verborgen, da der Wirbelsturm des Ersten Weltkriegs nicht mehr Dokumente erhalten ließ als nur einige wenige verkohlte Fotografien, die wir hier voller Stolz wiedergeben. Sicher ist nur, dass der Husovický okrašlovací spolek pěvecký / Hussowitzer Gesang- und Verschönerungsverein im Jahr 2014 unter der Leitung von Patrik Matyášek seine Mitgliederzahlen wieder auf den heutigen Stand gebracht hat. / The origins of the Association, which was probably founded as early as 1859 as one of the successors to the Brno Men’s Choral Association (Brünner Männergesangverein), are shrouded in the mists of 19th-century history, as the storms of the World War left behind no more documents than a couple of charred photographs, which we are proud to reproduce here. The only thing that is certain is that the Husovice Embellishing Choral Association re-established its membership to its current form under the leadership of Patrik Matyášek in 2014.
